Labbook Dutch Nao Team
Error Reports
The head of Princess Beep Boop (Nao4) crashed twice when an ethernet cable was plucked in, but this problem disappeared after flashing. Seems OK 13 December 2016.
- Julia has a weak right shoulder (December 2016).
Bleu hips are squicking. Seems OK September 2015.
- Bleu sound falls away. Loose connector? September 2015.
- Nao's overheats faster when using arms than using legs.
Blue skulls is broken at the bottom: should remove its head any more.
Blue has a connector at the front which is no longer glued on position. Couldn't find a connector position.
Started Labbook 2018.

- Carlos has again problems with his Left knee, which is repaired already twice. As already said on May 6: Carlos should be replaced.

- The robots that had DNT configuration and were put back to standard NaoQi wth the deinstall script report that they didn't had a wireless card. In slash a fix was reported with the wlan_supplicant.conf, but that failed. The problem was was that there was a service from DNT remaining that rewrites the configurealtions. The trick was to delete /etc/init.d/wireless.

- Updated Nao administration with new robots Tom and Jerry, which replace the v3 robots which could no longer be serviced.
July 6, 2017
- Tested DownyJr, but also this robot suffers from the SpeechRecognition Unregistered bug.
- The new ThinkPad ethernet adapter worked, but only received a ip6 address on nb-ros. Added manually an ip4 address.

- Looking for difference between Julia and Pattinson. Both have the same alspeechrecognition.xml, yet all the configurations in /etc/naoqi are the same.
- Performed naoqi stop, naoqi -d, naoqi -l alspeechrecognition.so.
- Complained that libalspeechrecognition.so was not in /usr/lib/naoqi. Should have been naoqi -l speechrecognition.so.
- Still Unregistered Service "ALSpeechRecognition" in /var/log/naoqi/tail-naoqi.log.
- Found this post with a suggestion to add /usr/lib/naoqi/audioin.so to autoload.ini. Yet, this post is old, the current library is /usr/lib/naoqi/libaudiodevice.so.
- audiodevice is loaded before speechrecognition. Switched off some deprecated and Pepper modules, still same behavior. Should I check microphones?

- My robots are not in Aldebaran store profile. Checking again this forum post, I found my managed robots in the Aldebaran cloud. Adding another robot should be done the robots Web page.
- Had a problem with the SpeechRecognition of Pattinson. The good news is that both WakeBehavior as TaiChii were performed without problems.
- Followed the instructions of Aldebaran documentation, but I got the same error-message.
- Yet, it seems that the problem is related with internet: the robot tries to check for language packages.
- I could follow the error messages of naoqi, because I restarted naoqi from the commandline.
- A lot of complains of ALTelepathe, but that is about a missing certificate. The .config/naoqi/preferences/ALTelepathe.xml points to an old namespace. Changed of ALTelepathe to autoconnect=false.
- Pattinson fails to connect to the appstore, so I went to the advanced/#config page and specified my Aldebaran Robotics user account (a.visser@).
- Was able to perform the speech recognition demo on Rouge. Switched TactilDemo off, copied the files from ~/.config/naoqi and /etc/naoqi/preferences to nb-udk (after setting LAN to dhcp again).

- The v5 robot Brooke / Nao11 (ALDR1312N008210) and the v4 robot Bertha / Nao9 (ALDR1109F004786) are ready for shipment to France, the V3.3 cannot be repaired. DownyJr / Nao2 can be recalibrated in Japan, Carlos and Pattinson should be replaced.

- Made a pickup request for the v5 robot Brooke / Nao11 (ALDR1312N008210), because it falls after a few steps.
- Made a pickup request for the v4 robot Bertha / Nao9 (ALDR1109F004786), because of a weak right leg.
- Made a pickup request for the v3.3 robot Carlos / Nao5 (ALDR1008E001502), because of Left knee stuck.
- Made a pickup request for the v3.3 robot Pattinson / Nao3 (ALDR1008E001511), because of broken left knee.
- Made a pickup request for the v3.3 robot DownyJr / Nao2 (ALDR1008E001504), because of a offset in the hip.

- Uploaded the Augsburg emotions (Anger 1) and named behavior (Standing a Bit Happy) to Blue, but the robot didn't move (although I could let him standup).
- Worked on that same problem in September 18, 2015.

- Head connectors didn't popped back and the skull is pushed inwards. Opened the head and pushed the connectors out. Yet, the two connection from the skeleton of the skull are broken, so Blue needs to keep its head on:
- There is a connector from the front board that goes nowhere. Couldn't find aplace to connect it:
- According to Robo Savvy not many inside pictures are available of a Nao robot (for sure for a Nao3 robot):
- Found on same page an impression of the first versions of the Nao robot:
- Here an answer on my last question for Sunday:
- Also found Robo Phil's Python Programming your Nao Tutorials.
- And instruction to add an USB-hub and Bluetooth module to a Nao4.
- Tested Blue, seems to be OK. Tried some sitting emotions from my nb-ros. Blue has only the nao-life-channel emotions, not the full set.

- Mio, the latest v5 Nao (body ALDR1312N090181), returned from Aldebaran. Its
blocked right shoulder seems OK (when tested with bhuman head Nao15).
- Testing the wakeup sequence with ros head Nao3, the arm movements are OK, but when standing on its right feed the robot fell to the right.
- Had some difficulty with connecting to the robot. Couldn't connect to the advanced interface, default connection interface didn't show robolab. Manually adding the SSID with WPA2 security solved this.
- Nao3 seems to be flashed, it has now NaoQi 2.1.4.13.
- Tai Chi worked fine for Mio. Updated Nao administration.
- Tried to connect Nao9 to robolab, but get connection error. The SSID only becomes visible when the country code is set to NL (via the former interface). Still not visible in the standard page, and the dropdown button for the country doesn't work for Chrome (IE didn't want to load at all). Connection is gone after removing ethernet cable.
- Latest version of NaoQi is still 2.1.4.13. Working on nb-udk is probablematic; its disk is full (and programs as VirtualBox directly try to use any space that comes available). Trying to make a flash disk from nb-ros.
