    About me

I have studied Computer Science at the University of Rostock and received my Master's degree in 2014. Afterwards, I have been a PhD student at Ulm University's Institute of Artificial Intelligence under the supervision of Prof. Biundo-Stephan. At this time I was also associated with the Transregional Collaborative Research Center SFB/TRR 62. I have received my PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in 2019.

From January 2020 until February 2022 I have been working in the Research Group on the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence headed by Prof. Nebel.

I joined the ILLC in March 2022 as an Assistant Professor (Universitair Docent).

    PANDA

Together with Daniel Höller I'm the main developer of the HTN planning system PANDA. There are currently two versions of PANDA which are maintained:

    • PANDA3 an implementation in Java and Scala that was used in PANDA's most recent evaluation. Executables, its source code, and instances are available.
    • pandaPI an implementation in C++. It is currently under development. The parser, the grounder, and the are search engine publicly available.

    IPC

Together with Ron Alford and Dominik Schreiber I have organised the IPC 2023 HTN Tracks.
Together with Daniel Höller and Pascal Bercher I have organised the IPC 2020 track on Hierarchical Planning.
