  Information Visualization

February 2018: Master course in Artificical Intelligence / Information Science

Getting insight in large collections of data requires an intricate interplay between data analysis, data mining, domain knowledge, visualization, and interacting users. In this course we will study the development of methodologies which support the process of gaining insight in large and complex datasets by a combination of data analysis, machine learning, and information visualization. Methods are geared towards optimally serving the formation and validation of hypotheses and models.

  Fundamentals of Data Science

September 2017: Master course in Data Science

The Data Science Master's programme is designed for you to become an all-round data scientist who knows how to go through all the steps in a data-driven project; from how to approach a business or societal problem from a data-analytical perspective (asking the right questions) to the final implementation of these data science solutions, while also understanding the organisational and social implications these solutions may have. The first course - Fundamentals of Data Science provides an overview of the essential concepts, theories and challenges in Data Science.

  Software Engineering

Summer Semester, 2016 - Bachelor course

Teaching the skills needed to create efficient and functional software through practical excercises. The key focus of the course is introducing the software design methodologies, implementation and integration of different system types and designing an object oriented, modular structure for software engineering projects.

  Interactive Applications

Winter Semester, 2014 - 2016 - Bachelor course

Getting to know the basics of web application interface design and understanding the human interactions that take place during the usage of such applications. The practical part of the course relied mostly on using Javascripts JQuery and JQuery UI.

  Introduction to Informatics

Winter Semester, 2015 - Bachelor course

Teaching the basic principles of Informatics and manipulation of multimedia data. A secondary focus was given to the key areas of information and telecomunication technologies and their influence in Information science.
