Welcome to my Homepage! My name is Hoang-An Le (with full diacritics, Lê Hoàng Ân). I was born in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.

Since April 2016, I am a PhD student at University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I am working with professor Theo Gevers on the project TrimBot2020, funded by EUHorizon.

In 2015, I received my Master diploma of Science in Engineering (diplôme d'Ingénieur, an advanced academic degree awarded only by French prestigious elite universities, or Grandes Écoles) from Télécom ParisTech and institut de Mines-Télécom, France. My study had been pursued at Campus SophiaTech, EURECOM institute, specialized in Multimedia Communications. My graduation project was "Multi-Camera Matching and Point Clouds Registration for 3D Immersive Visual Systems", carried out at Coordinated Science Lab, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), USA, under the supervision of professor Minh Do.

I received the Bachelor of Science degree in 2012 from the Advanced Program in Computer Science at Ho Chi Minh University of Science (HCMUS), Vietnam National University (VNU). The program is a cooperation program between HCMUS and Portland State University (PSU), USA, in which all courses are adapted from modern US syllabuses and offered in English. I have started doing scientific research since the sophomore year, and joined a research group led by professor Minh-Triet Tran. Under his supervision, I have also done my graduation project, entitled "Natural User Interface for Smart Environment".

My research interests including computer vision and machine learning, especially the joint field and application of the fields.
