We Won ICTIR2016’s Best Paper Award

We won ICTIR2016 best paper award. This award is received for the paper entitled “On Horizontal and Vertical Separation in Hierarchical Text Classification”. This is a joint work by Mostafa Dehghani, Hosein Azarbonyad, Jaap Kamps, and Maarten Marx.

The main aim of this research is to understand and validate the effect of the separation property on hierarchical classification and discuss how to provide horizontally and vertically separable language models for text-based hierarchical entities.
