Professional status and research interests
University of Amsterdam, Professor Emeritus since 1993Research areas: Complex Analysis and Approximation Theory
Here complex analysis includes classical function theory and aspects of several complex variables,
as well as the related area of potential theory. The approximation theory includes complex approximation, Tauberian theory and quadrature theory.
Somewhat separate areas are the theory of distributions or generalized functions, and the theory of prime pairs.
In Korevaar's work, the various areas regularly overlap.
