My name is Jan Czajkowski, I am a PhD candidate at ILLC at the University of Amsterdam. I am also a member of QuSoft and an associate member of the Algorithms and Complexity group at CWI. My PhD supervisor is Christian Schaffner.
My main research interest is post-quantum cryptography. I want to find out what impact on security of cryptographic systems have adversaries that have access to a large-scale quantum computer. I am also interested in relations between different security notions. Question that I find especially intriguing is when does classical security imply quantum security. To answer those questions I work on proving quantum security of cryptographic constructions and the sponge construction in particular.
Another field I am interested in and worked in is quantum metrology. The science of quantum measurements that touch upon fundamental limits of precision set by the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.
