There will be organised a special session:
Fundamental problems of quantum thermodynamics.

The following problems will be discussed during the Conference:

1) Analysis of the creation of the quantum formalism: quantum probability; quantum logic, quantum information.

2) Interpretations of wave function, relation to foundations of probability theory. Superposition principle.

3) Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen experiment. Bell?s inequality: realism/nonlocality/contextualism?

4) Quantum information and teleportation, computing and cryptography.

5) Quantum thermodynamics.

6) Pilot-wave theory, nonlocality. De Broglie double-solution theory.

7) Local realistic models, hidden variables.

8) Evidences of violations of quantum mechanical description?

9) Contextual approach to quantum probability.

10) Macroscopic quantum and quantum-like systems.

11) Quantum-like statistics in biology and cognitive sciences.

The conference will start on Monday, June 6, (arrival Sunday, June 5),
and the lectures will finish on Saturday, June 11.

devoted to 50 years jubileum of Professor T. M. Nieuwenhuizen.

Växjö is located at the centre of southern Sweden, see dynamic map. The Växjö University campus is located approximately ten minutes by bus from the city centre.

• Växjö has an international airport and can be reached by air from Copenhagen and Stockholm.
  
• For connection to international flights, a taxicab is recommended: Växjö taxi (+46) (0)470 135 00 or Värends taxi (+46) (0)470 169 00. The taxi stand is situated at the railway station.
• There are also good train services from Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg to Växjö.
