Since 2022, I've been giving a regular one-hour guest lecture on Fairness in the MSc AI course on Fairness, Accountability, Confidentiality and Transparency in AI. The purpose of this lecture is to illustrate the importance and difficulty of finding a philosophically adequate and mathematically precise definition of the concept of fairness—as well as the need of going significantly beyond how the topic is typically treated in the context of Machine Learning.
