About
My name is Zsolt Keszthelyi and I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy at the University of Amsterdam.
My research focuses on several aspects regarding the structure and evolution of massive stars. In particular, I compute and analyse stellar evolution models, using the MESA and Geneva stellar evolution codes.
massive star evolution
Surface fossil magnetic fields
Surface fossil magnetic fields have a strong impact on stellar mass loss and rotation and, as a consequence, on the evolution of massive stars. See paper I and paper II. A Zenodo record is also available here.
Mass-loss rates
The magnitude and time evolution of mass-loss rates significantly affect the nature and final faith of massive stars. A Zenodo record is available here.
Stellar rotation
Stellar rotation induces various instabilities in the stellar interiors. The efficiency of such mixing processes greatly impacts the properties of the star.
