April Fool transparencies by George Andrews, Madison, April 1, 1975

George Andrews gave an invited lecture on April 1, 1975 at the MRC Advanced Seminar on Special Functions (March 31 - April 2, 1975) in Madison. He started with two transparencies headed by
Q-ANALOG OF EXTENDED MEIJER’S G-FUNCTION
and containing an extremely complicated and crazy formula. The third transparency said:
APRIL FOOL
Below are photos of George Andrews presenting the three transparencies (photos by George Gasper). The full text of these transparencies is on pp. 8-9 of Richard Askey's paper The work of George Andrews: a Madison perspective, Sém. Lothar. Combin. 42 (1999), Art. B42b.
