Lie day on 27 March 2001

The third Lie day of the year 2000-2001 at the KdV Institute of the UvA will take place on Tuesday 27 March 2001 with four lectures by graduate students in the area of representation theory and related mathematical physics.

14.00-15.00: Joost Slingerland (Institute for Theoretical Physics, UvA), "Conformal field theory, quantum groups and quantum Hall systems"

15.15-16.15: Hessel Posthuma (KdV Institute, UvA), "Quantization commutes with reduction and loop groups"
