474: Multiagent Systems 2005

Most of the Multiagent Systems course is taught by Keith Clark; teaching materials for his part of the course are available here (restricted access).

This page provides access to teaching materials for the part taught by Ulle Endriss (4 lectures + 2 tutorials).

The aim of this part of the course is to show how formal models for rational decision making and negotiation, developed mostly in the area of economics, have found important applications in multiagent systems. In particular, we will give a brief introduction to both welfare economics and game theory, discuss a specific mechanism for one-to-one negotiation, and review a number of different auction models.
