We welcome the first PhD student in Amsterdam group who will work on hydrodynamics of soft active matter.
April 2020
Welcome Federico
We welcome the Delta Institute for Theoretical Physics postdoctoral fellow Federico Fadda who in collaboration with the group of Prof. René van Roij will work on chemotactic and phoretic active matter.
November 2019
Postdoctoral funding from I-DTP is granted!
Our joint postdoctoral grant proposal with the group of Prof. René van Roij from Utrecht University from Delta Institute for Theoretical Physics
is granted. The project aims at developing a dynamical density functional theory for chemotactic and phoretic active matter. Highly motivated candidates with an outstanding profile in active matter or non-equilibrium soft matter are welcome to contact us.
October 2019
A new group in Amsterdam
Dr. Sara Jabbari-Farouji moved to the University of Amsterdam with the prospect of enhancing the theoretical and computational soft matter activities. Strong and motivated candidates who like to join the group are welcome to contact her.
January 2019
Welcome Ata
We welcome the visiting student Ata Madanchi who will work on collective dynamics simulations of spherical microswimmers.
