- We’re looking for a teaching assistant for the bachelor course Evolution of Language & Music. Tasks include guiding students through papers on language, music and evolution, heping students with a computer lab (analyzing linguistic and musical datasets, and running a basic hierarchical clustering algorithm), helping students prepare their presentations, and help grading assignments and the exam. Some background in either linguistics, musicology or AI would be very helpful, but there will be at least two TAs and not everybody needs to know everything. The position would be for +-7 hours per week for two months (April-May 2023). This is a “studentassistentschap”, so you need to be registered as a student at the Dutch university (or less than 1 year since graduation) and need to have EU-citizenship (or official permission to work).
- We’re looking for a research assistant for the project Building a linguistic challenge set for evalutating Dutch language Models. Background in NLP, knowledge of Dutch grammar, and good programming skills in Python would be very helpful. The position is for 6 months full-time, or 12 months half time. The work will be carried out in close cooperation with colleagues from the Radboud University in Nijmegen (Stefan Frank, Michelle Suijkerbuijk). This is a research assistantship; so you do not need to be registered as a student at the Dutch university
