Introductory reader for using the EBT-approach

This is a reader, in which the basic theory of formulating models using the EBT-approach is presented. This reader has been written for teaching the basic theory of structured population modeling during a 2-week summerschool. The reader is available as a PDF file. Accompanying the reader is a set of slides that were used while teaching the material contained in the reader. They are mostly copies of figures, tables and equations from the reader.

Lab manual with exercises

This is a manual with examples to train using the EBT-approach. It accompanies the EBT reader listed above and provides guidelines to study a few example models using the EBT and EBTtool software. The reader is available as a PDF file. A ZIP file with the problem files implementing the example models can be downloaded here.

Manual for implementing a model in the EBT package

This is a rather old manual for using the EBT. Even though it is old, the description how to implement a particular structured model into the EBT is still up-to-date. It does not include a manual for the new graphical interface yet. The manual is available as a PDF file.
