Romain Deffayet and I will be teaching a tutorial at ESSIR 2022, the European Summer School on Information Retrieval, on Tuesday July 19, 09:00-10:30, a few days after SIGIR 2022, giving you enough time to recover and make the transition from Madrid to Lisbon. Our tutorial is entitled User Models and Interactive IR. The tutorial will be machine learning heavy and the focus will be on learning from user interactions in the context of search and recommendation. In due course, we’ll share slides and other materials here.
